<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">I have
always been the sort of person who finds the beginning of a new year as a
therapeutic, soul cleansing event. I love the feeling of a new year ahead,
where anything seems possible, you can reinvent yourself, clear out old baggage
(both physical and emotional) and begin on another journey. Last year was one
of my favourite years, it was my 7th year being with my husband,
which I know people say ‘the 7 year itch’ well for us it was more of a ‘7 year
awakening’ I feel like we really learned the true value of each other and it was like the penny dropped, we are in this together,
for the long-haul and we must always value and put each other first. And it’s
been bliss. We cut out the excess baggage; we stopped making the 4 hour journey from Cornwall back to our roots (and a whole lot of negativity) in Southampton and instead totally focused our energies on the life we are building
in our new home of Cornwall. We kept positive; we no longer allowed other
peoples negative energy to zap us. I read books on Buddhism and we made some
amazing friends. So yer, 2015 you rocked. But alas a new chapter must begin,
and I plan to make this one every bit as fantastic as the last. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">And so…… I
have hit the ground running in 2016; I have been looking within to understand
what make me tick, what brings happiness, peace and harmony to my family and
what we could all do without. I feel for us living more simply is key. The
whole reason we moved to Cornwall was to get away from the negative rat race of
town life and focus more on happy, healthy, family time in a peaceful setting. So
2016 for us is going to be all about reducing our carbon footprint, relying
less on money, eating healthy organic foods and becoming as self-sufficient as
we can. I have tried to put a list together of the key aspects that I’m going
to attempt to focus on;<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";"><br /></span></div>

homemade everything!</span></li>
</ul>
<!--[if !supportLists]--><br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">No more
buying cleaning products, as the existing products I have run out I will keep
the containers and refill them with healthy, inexpensive homemade products.
There is a wealth of knowledge on pinterest on this subject, so I won’t be
short on recipes! Im abit of a cleaning addict, and breathing in all those chemicals on a daily basis is no good for me or the other people in our home, and so i will be using natural cleaning products with no nasties!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">I plan to
bake once a week, ready for the week ahead, which will actually be some great
mother and daughter time for me and little bee as she absolutely, loves to
bake!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">I will no
longer buy lotions and potions, if we have a health problem I will look for
natural remedies, rather than rushing to the chemist and pumping us full of
artificial drugs. I actually started this one yesterday, one of the twins has a
terrible cold, we had no vix vapour rub left, so instead I found a recipe and
made a homemade, healthy, organic, natural version, and it worked great! <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<!--[if !supportLists]--><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">We
already have two chickens in the garden, so have an abundance of eggs, I plan to
get 3 more chickens, and so fresh organic free-range eggs are definately on the
menu for 2016! In addition to this my husband has been busy using his carpentry
skills making me a stand for the top of the drive where amongst other things we
can sell our excess eggs, which will then pay for the chickens organic food and
bedding, meaning the chickens are having no financial strain on us.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">I
also want to create my own herb garden; it seems like madness to be spending
money at the supermarket every week on cut herbs for various recipes when I
could just be growing them in the garden!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">I
also plan to grow as many veggies as I can, we are hoping to get lucky and
source a greenhouse second-hand at a low cost!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraph" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt;">

</div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Euphemia, sans-serif; text-indent: -18pt;"> Reduce
money spent/buy nothing new!</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">This
is going to be the real challenge for me.
Having moved away from a consumerism, 'keeping up with the jones' town
lifestyle to the countryside has slowly made me reduce the amount I spend on
items we really don’t need, (Lets be honest, im no saint, its mainly because i live down a lane in the middle of nowhere, therefore getting access to shops is about an hours drive!) for ourselves and the house. I do however love to
have a nice home, but I feel now that I could have more joy from not spending
on unnecessary items and instead reconnecting and loving the items we already
have! So my mission is to stop spending! And to help me feel more accountable
for my spending I’m going to keep a money journal. Everything I spend is going
to be written down in this little journal. I hope the process of actually
having to write down and be accountable for every penny I spend will help me to
think more and spend less! Accountability people, accountability! <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">Also
the weekly food shop, I plan to reduce this by a third. We already have eggs,
my dad is a butcher, and so he gets us our meat, cooked meats and cheese on his
weekly allowance, so these items are all already free to us (lucky us!) so with
growing our own herbs and veg we could potentially have some meals which our
almost free! And then with baking as well, I’m confident I can bring down the
food shop bill!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">Wash
clothing less! We seem to have a problem in our household with people wearing
an item of clothing once, or using a towel once and then throwing it in the
laundry basket, when in actual fact things only really need to be washed when
they are actually dirty! So all 5 of us will be assigned a fresh towel on a
Sunday, and it’s to be kept and reused until the following Saturday, I mean
seriously, you use your towel when you’re at your cleanest point, surely it can
last a week! And clothes are to be folded and put away, not washed unnecessarily!
This will cut down on the washing machine being put on 2-3 times a day
(seriously guys, I feel like I’m drowning in washing most of the time!) and
then having to put the heating on when we don’t even feel cold just so I can
get the washing dried! <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "Euphemia","sans-serif";">I
can’t express to you the excitement I have to start our family on a more
greener, healthier and simpler life and I hope you will enjoy reading all about
our journey…..<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">

I absolutely love making crochet/amigurumi Bunny's. Why? no idea, I just love the cuteness of them!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I have designed two different designs, I just need to work on typing up the patterns now!</div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5JtznSNVoBU/VVjYvUumycI/AAAAAAAABE8/Vk7OiigQeBs/s1600/lisa%2B2%2B1230.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5JtznSNVoBU/VVjYvUumycI/AAAAAAAABE8/Vk7OiigQeBs/s640/lisa%2B2%2B1230.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is my first design, which i have done in two different sizes, Mumma and Puppa size and baby bunny size.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So i feel like this bunny is a more rustic, simple style, my second is more of a glam little bunny, great for any little girlie. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I celebrated my 33rd birthday yesterday. It was a lovely day with my amazing husband all to myself! We had shopping and lunch in Truro and then in the evening we rode our bikes down to our local pub, The Blue Peter in Polperro. It's a very old Cornish pub, tiny, always has live music on a Saturday night and ALWAYS has a fantastic atmosphere. Hb had a word with the band, and so the band - joined by the entire pub, sang me Happy Birthday, and then dedicated their last song to me, putting my name into the song, hb pulled me up, and we danced and I felt very special! Hb always makes my birthdays extremely special and memorable for me, he is an angel.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is actually the first thing I learnt to make on a sewing machine! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What you will need:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bunting template <a href="http://blog.chickabug.com/2010/11/free-fabric-bunting-pattern.html" target="_blank">(you can find a good one here)</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
fabric vanishing pen or tailors chalk</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Fabric - I'm using a lovely shabby-chic style burlap fabric</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bias Binding</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
pretty trim</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(optional)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
scissors</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
pinking shears (optional)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
sewing machine</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Iron and ironing board</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and to make the little crochet flower;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
cotton yarn</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
crochet hook</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
pearl</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0zIr4sYeycM/VUI3leKffFI/AAAAAAAAA9w/YhwbnsLgLZc/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B036.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0zIr4sYeycM/VUI3leKffFI/AAAAAAAAA9w/YhwbnsLgLZc/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B036.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LmRF0uso3Co/VUI3aa5PKVI/AAAAAAAAA9g/m5x-ef5Ppok/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B031.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LmRF0uso3Co/VUI3aa5PKVI/AAAAAAAAA9g/m5x-ef5Ppok/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B031.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ready?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Right then, lets get started...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The first thing to do is print out and cut around your template. now your going to lay your fabric face down, if you are using a fabric with a pattern on you need to make sure that when the pendant hangs the pattern is the right way up! now start drawing around your template</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qV3v9zb2AXc/VUI3_warG7I/AAAAAAAAA-A/aaQUcYcnks0/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B037.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qV3v9zb2AXc/VUI3_warG7I/AAAAAAAAA-A/aaQUcYcnks0/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B037.JPG" height="400" width="225" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TuRu8okKRwQ/VUI4KUKpXyI/AAAAAAAAA-I/9fSbAPBrp2k/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B038.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TuRu8okKRwQ/VUI4KUKpXyI/AAAAAAAAA-I/9fSbAPBrp2k/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B038.JPG" height="400" width="225" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If your using a vanishing ink fabric pen like me you might find that on some fabrics it vanishes way too quick! So don't draw out too many, or they may have disappeared before you get a chance to cut them out!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once you have drawn out a few, use your pinking shears if you have them, if not normal fabric scissors to cut out the pendants, keep repeating this stage until you have enough pendants, bear in mind you need 2 triangles to make one finished pendant as we will be sewing 2 together.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4RVgnNzBO5o/VUI4KUgAFFI/AAAAAAAAA-M/oNX3IbQpou4/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B041.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4RVgnNzBO5o/VUI4KUgAFFI/AAAAAAAAA-M/oNX3IbQpou4/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B041.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next we are going to sew 2 together. For this bunting I want to leave the raw edges showing, as i think it adds to the rustic look of the bunting, therefore just hold 2 together (don't worry if they don't line up perfectly, we will sort that out later) both with the right side of the fabric showing (so wrong sides inside together) and sew around the edge, about half an inch in from the edge. Make sure you 'back stitch' (this means to sew forward about 3 stitches, then stop, and press the reverse button on your sewing machine to go back over those few stitches, then carry on forward). This stops the stitches from coming undone and means no need to fuss about knotting the threads at the end) Start at the top right corner of the pendant, sew down that edge, when you get to the bottom point of the pendant leave your needle down, lift the footer, swivel the pendant, footer back down, now sew up the other edge. There is no need to sew across the top edge as this will be hidden inside the bias tape later.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-P8W24ehk9jk/VUI4vz_I4MI/AAAAAAAAA-o/n6AdQHI9sWE/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B045.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-P8W24ehk9jk/VUI4vz_I4MI/AAAAAAAAA-o/n6AdQHI9sWE/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B045.JPG" height="640" width="360" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now we are going to snip off the thread ends, so that we have a nice neat finish at the end.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DkvUju-26Hw/VUI4_4r1kSI/AAAAAAAAA-w/HZ7HKv8qW80/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B048.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DkvUju-26Hw/VUI4_4r1kSI/AAAAAAAAA-w/HZ7HKv8qW80/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B048.JPG" height="640" width="360" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now take your pinking shears or fabric scissors</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5pt9UTMzh-A/VUI5T7lv6wI/AAAAAAAAA-4/XK7Ep573O88/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B049.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5pt9UTMzh-A/VUI5T7lv6wI/AAAAAAAAA-4/XK7Ep573O88/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B049.JPG" height="640" width="360" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Remember how I said not to worry if the 2 pendants didn't line up perfectly? We are going to sort that out by trimming around the outer edge. Be super careful not to get too close to your stitches, you don't want to cut them! You just want to create a nice, neat finish.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NFi6w_xZZpM/VUI5WUryQeI/AAAAAAAAA_A/N-tcKfhlWag/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B050.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NFi6w_xZZpM/VUI5WUryQeI/AAAAAAAAA_A/N-tcKfhlWag/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B050.JPG" height="640" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GP6QBGeRIuw/VUI5kUF20_I/AAAAAAAAA_I/Vrct9OIkoRE/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B053.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GP6QBGeRIuw/VUI5kUF20_I/AAAAAAAAA_I/Vrct9OIkoRE/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B053.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now lets talk bias tape. This stuff can be picked up in any fabric store or haberdashery, or eBay. Your going to need a couple of meters of the stuff. The one I'm using today is a floral fabric one, but more often you will find plain coloured ones like in my above photo of materials. Some times they will come as a flat strip, or sometime it will come folded in on itself at the back, if so, you just need to iron it flat. Once you have your flat strip you need to start folding it in half and pressing it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vxLf7Ka1kHY/VUI53oqUZcI/AAAAAAAAA_Q/D1-V7cutG0g/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B054.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vxLf7Ka1kHY/VUI53oqUZcI/AAAAAAAAA_Q/D1-V7cutG0g/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B054.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-V9zH-fSRkQg/VUI56GiC6PI/AAAAAAAAA_Y/jXhjWdIKcFs/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B055.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-V9zH-fSRkQg/VUI56GiC6PI/AAAAAAAAA_Y/jXhjWdIKcFs/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B055.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(Do you love my floral ironing board cover?!?!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once you have ironed the entire length in half its a good idea to lay everything out and decide on pendant placement! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Some people like to have the pendants touching, i like about a 1.5 inch gap in between each</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L0muDNNd9AA/VUI6Kk3vFNI/AAAAAAAAA_g/c00VNzd5XT0/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B056.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L0muDNNd9AA/VUI6Kk3vFNI/AAAAAAAAA_g/c00VNzd5XT0/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B056.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You could now pin them into the bias tape if you want, I don't personally bother, because I'm too lazy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now we are going to stitch the pendants into the bias tape. First take the end of the bias tape, fold it in slightly to the back to create a nice neat end, now stitch back and forth over that end a few times</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yUhz7AsJXdg/VUI6cL94d_I/AAAAAAAAA_w/h2gVoqe9LLs/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yUhz7AsJXdg/VUI6cL94d_I/AAAAAAAAA_w/h2gVoqe9LLs/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B058.JPG" height="640" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KLEdVOdhyIY/VUI6m3zTfoI/AAAAAAAAA_4/_Gsrr5jY4Ok/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B059.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KLEdVOdhyIY/VUI6m3zTfoI/AAAAAAAAA_4/_Gsrr5jY4Ok/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B059.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Now start to sticth along the long edge. So leave your needle down, put the footer up, swivel the bias tape so that you can stitch along the long edge, and put your footer back down<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lLc2fc729-k/VUI6tgde5lI/AAAAAAAABAA/_-qcqznfjys/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B060.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lLc2fc729-k/VUI6tgde5lI/AAAAAAAABAA/_-qcqznfjys/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B060.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nYmwsw9AiDk/VUKG1MFzojI/AAAAAAAABCI/bmZhTvi_Jb8/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B062.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nYmwsw9AiDk/VUKG1MFzojI/AAAAAAAABCI/bmZhTvi_Jb8/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B062.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jq4PQxNFNLI/VUKG1sek5BI/AAAAAAAABCM/mZYb2K16cWE/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B063.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jq4PQxNFNLI/VUKG1sek5BI/AAAAAAAABCM/mZYb2K16cWE/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B063.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then stitch along, I leave about 6 inches, but its just down to personal preference!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now place your first pendant snuggly inside the bias tape</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Wt_dKYguDts/VUKG2QGtS6I/AAAAAAAABCQ/9oGe0XeCGt8/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B064.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Wt_dKYguDts/VUKG2QGtS6I/AAAAAAAABCQ/9oGe0XeCGt8/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B064.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you pinned yours in place then you wont need to worry about this bit!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now stitch over the pendant, being sure that your stitches are catching the pendant inside the bias tape. </div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Because I don't pin mine in place (lazy bum) I measure the distance between each by sewing until the top edge of my pendant reaches the end of the footer...<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then slip the next pendant into position.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Carry on until all the pendants are sewn into position, then carry on along the bias tape for another 6 inches, I like to pull my other end up so I can make sure they are the same length.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Ta-Dah!!</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lHt29Ystf1E/VUKLSgiInGI/AAAAAAAABDk/ZtFetwWjwoQ/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B072.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-lHt29Ystf1E/VUKLSgiInGI/AAAAAAAABDk/ZtFetwWjwoQ/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B072.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Well done you clever sausage! Now you can either leave it like that, and be sufficiently pleased with yourself, or you can get creative with the trims and let your imagination run wild!<br />
<br />
I, myself, like to run wild once in awhile!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3ykbKnnrWtM/VUKLoSLVNEI/AAAAAAAABDw/OPFMbAX_H7s/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B075.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3ykbKnnrWtM/VUKLoSLVNEI/AAAAAAAABDw/OPFMbAX_H7s/s1600/lisa%2B3%2B075.JPG" height="360" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I decided a lace trim was a definite, if you choose to add a trim, simple line up the edge of the trim with the edge of the bias tape and stitch alone the entire length</div>

<br /></div>

I thought about adding a button on each end, but decided against that idea, it just didn't look quite right. So I made some tiny hearts and flowers to see how they would look...</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once i made a decision i used my trusty old glue gun to stick the flowers in place</div>

Hellllooooo...... </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Wow the past few months have been super busy for me! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been having lots of fun making blankets recently. I seem to go through phases of making a particular item, dolls, bears, hearts... and for now, baby blankets! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8UyFqAIX9zE/VUC54d2FMmI/AAAAAAAAA60/CxYb05_lqmo/s1600/lisas%2Bphone%2B494.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8UyFqAIX9zE/VUC54d2FMmI/AAAAAAAAA60/CxYb05_lqmo/s1600/lisas%2Bphone%2B494.JPG" height="478" width="640" /></a></div>

</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a particular favourite of mine. I have a passion for white, drives my husband crazy, as everything i want to buy for the house is always white! I just love the fresh, clean, crispness of it! The colours inbetween really pop out against the white. And it was a great stash buster for all those colourful odd bits of yarn i had left over! I used stylecraft DK white and the colours inbetween were mainly Drops Paris Cotton. I made this doing simple rows of my favourite stitch, half double crochet. I then did a boarder of single crochet three times. </div>

Next I made a traditional, vintage feeling granny square blanket. This was such a delight to whip up. No brains necessary! I used a variety of Stylecraft DK and finished the blanket off with 3 rounds of single crochet. I got these adorable labels for it from a fantastic blog called <a href="http://www.everythingetsy.com/2015/01/free-printable-crochet-gift-labels/" target="_blank">Everything Etsy</a>.</div>

Now this little beauty is still a work in progress. Truth be known its been a tad neglected! I started it about 6 weeks ago, then, I'm not sure what happened, but it got pushed to one side. Its the first V-Stitch blanket i have attempted. I had a look on pinterest for a little tutorial and found <a href="http://www.dreamalittlebigger.com/post/granny-crochet-stitch-in-a-straight-line.html" target="_blank">this</a> one helpful, it has great photos for newbies.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have my best friend coming to stay this weekend, she has been away travelling and living in Canada for the past 18 months, and so I'm super excited to see her and hear all her tales! And so crafting will take a back seat this weekend, however i feel setting myself the small task of finishing off this blanket is achievable! i can finish it off whilst we chat! So watch this space!</div>

Rainbow ripples! I used the pattern/tutorial from <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/" target="_blank">Attic 24</a> to get me started. I will take a few more pictures of this little beaut soon. But i love. I mean, seriously love it! I made this one baby size, but I plan to start a 'throw' size one for my living room in the next few weeks. </div>

And lastly.... my Cath Kidston inspired granny strip blanket! The colours are all stylecraft and the pattern can be found <a href="http://hakenenmeer.blogspot.ie/search/label/patroon%20beschrijving%20dekentje" target="_blank">here</a>. You will need to translate the page. I couldn't get my laptop to translate it, but it has great photos, so i managed to use these to figure it out for myself. Its coming along nicely, i just need to pop to the wool shop for more white! (When I say 'pop' i would like to point out tat my local yarn shop is a 40 minute drive away! oh the joys of living in the Cornish countryside do have their downfalls!)</div>

Driving home from the school run today, the sun was shining, the Cornish landscape looked crisp and clear and Little Bee's words echoed in my mind "Joe, because your such a good boy, you can have my turn in the front of the car on the way home from school today" to which Joe beamed and said "oh thank you" i smiled from ear to ear, what a wonderful thing to see such kindness between your children. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That set me off on a good note, it got me thinking about how truly fantastic our life is. I often read little quotes on plaques and such in shop, 'live the life you love' 'happiness is the journey, not the destination' I always feel incredibly blessed to be the sort of person who can be happy, who can focus on the positive in a world which seems consumed in people seeing the negative. What a tiring and draining way that must be to live, to always see the negative in the world. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Life has been kind to me, i must of done something amazingly kind in my past life, because in this one I hit the jackpot. I have been backpacking around the world, I have jumped out of aeroplanes, met my soul mate who supports me, nurtures me and is my brick wall, had a little girl and twin boys and now having moved 200 miles from our home town have finally come home, to our spiritual home, Cornwall. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hb and myself love Cornwall beyond words, its apart of us, its Sandy beaches are ingrained in who we are, it feeds our souls, it makes everyday feel like a new adventure, like anything is possible. Like being a child again. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In our old life 200 miles away we were trapped in a cycle of conforming, conforming to the mundane routine of life, conforming to the expectations that others around us had put on us. Here we are free, like 2 birds who might take flight at any given moment, life feels limitless, opening the front door and looking out onto fields and the ocean, how can one not feel euphorically free. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I always remember the first time hb and I visited Cornwall on a little weekend break with my parents, as we drove down the hill into Looe it was evening and the harbour was lit up by little fairy lights, and I had an overwhelming feeling, I was home. I could feel it in every ounce of my being. Hb could feel it in me, and he new this is where we had to raise our family. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And so here we are, since being here hb has given up on mundane day jobs which leave him a little richer in the pocket but much poorer in his soul, returned to college, and fulfilled his childhood dream of training as a carpenter, passing with the highest possible grade, and now comes home with a smile on his face having spent the day doing what he loves. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have taken up crafts, crochet, sewing, decoupage, i have 2 part time jobs, one is voluntary, which i love, and I raise my family, in beautiful, peaceful surroundings, around equally peaceful Cornish people. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There is a bad note, we have lost people along the way, some of them the closest to us in our past life, unable to understand our dream and vision, couldn't find it within themselves to be happy for us, but we have learnt not to face negativity with negativity, that's not our style, instead we ask them to keep it positive towards us or take a step back from us, there is no virtue in tolerating toxic behaviour. I read a quote 'at some point you have to realise that some people can stay in your heart but not in your life' this statement has been a tower of strength for me. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As I have sat writing this I have been listening to my Buddhism meditation music, and I implore you to sit and write out your story, tell your story, focus on the positive, then focus on those positives everyday, even for just a moment, feed your soul with it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2015 has become a new chapter in our life, a new twist in the plot, we have become so focused on positivity that it seems to be beaming from us like rays of sun, everything just works, it fits, and it feels incredible.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I leave you with some words which have become my mantra, from a man who has opened my mind:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What you think, you become.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What you feel, you attract.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What you imagine, you create.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

to think about what would make a lovely handmade gift. After trawling through

One of the things I love about me is that I have a great eclectic
collection of craft supplies, so at any moment I can be carried away on a crafty
whim and know chances are, I have what I need. The thing I hate about me,
having zero organisation and never EVER being able to locate the craft supplies
I need without at least a 20 minute search first. Moral of this story? Keep
buying lots of lovely supplies, but perhaps also buy some sort of decent
storage solution to keep them organised in! So after the obligatory 20 minute
search I came to the conclusion that I used up the last of my mod podge glue at
my last craft session with the kids up the school (decoupage tea light
lanterns, v. popular with the kids!) And so I’m going to start this project
today, and then finish tomorrow once I’ve brought some more glue! <o:p></o:p></div>

Any who….<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
The first thing I did was cut my chosen paper into little
squares, ready to be glued on. I usually buy the Craftseller Magazine each
month, which always has a few pages on beautiful papers, so I have a lovely
collection of them now. However you can use any paper you have, napkins,
magazine cuttings, old books, decorative papers, even wallpaper.<o:p></o:p></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
Next I painted the top ‘ridge’ of my terracotta pot, I decided
I wanted to decoupage the bottom of the pot, but keep the top ridge as just
painted. As you are going to cover the bottom part you don’t need to worry
about being too accurate with your painting. I used an all-purpose Acrylic
Paint in Blush Pink as I thought it would complement the papers nicely and be
suitable girlie for a mother’s day present. I took 3 coats of the paint
(allowing it to dry in between each coat) to get a good coverage over the terracotta.

<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
I let mine dry out over night ready for decoupage the following day <span style="font-size: xx-small;">(this of course had absolutely nothing to do at all with the fact that i had no decoupage glue, and i WILL wrestle anyone who says otherwise!)</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
Time to get down to the business of decoupaging!<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
Take one of your squares at a time and apply a layer of Mod
Podge onto the back, press it onto the flower pot and smooth it out with your
fingers, ideally you want none or as little creases as is possible. If you are
using napkins you will find this differcult. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
Once your pot is completely covered (layering where needed
to fill in the little gaps) cover the entire pot (included the painted top
ridge) with a coat of the Mod Podge Glue. Let it dry. Apply a second coat and allow to
dry. Its better to cover in a thin layer and add additional layers than to try to go for one thick layer.<o:p></o:p><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nsIfAN_pb08/VPNEaa7SWhI/AAAAAAAAA08/X7SK8Ag17dw/s1600/pots.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nsIfAN_pb08/VPNEaa7SWhI/AAAAAAAAA08/X7SK8Ag17dw/s1600/pots.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
Now if you intend your pot to be an indoor one, then you’re
finished, you clever thing! However, if you would like it to be an outdoor pot,
then I would suggest spraying with a sealant to help protect it from the
elements. <o:p></o:p></div>

This week I have been feeling like abit of a fickle crafter,
my mind has been buzzing with the endless craft ideas, perhaps it’s the position
of the moon, but something has been effecting my craft vibe!</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Ages ago little Bee and myself brought a small jewellery making
collection from eBay, I then sat under my vintage sewing machine table
collecting dust, feeling neglected. This week I had an urge to get that little
box of goodies out and start learning a new skill, I’ve never done any
jewellery making (well except little plastic beads bracelets as a child, but I don’t
think that counts!) so I thought with little Bee being almost 9 now, that it
would be a fantastic opportunity for Mumma and Bubba to learn a new craft skill
together. <o:p></o:p><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Xa6koRxc9rQ/VNYv15YqTaI/AAAAAAAAAxc/SJjOV79VtL0/s1600/jewls.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Xa6koRxc9rQ/VNYv15YqTaI/AAAAAAAAAxc/SJjOV79VtL0/s1600/jewls.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
There are so many great resources and tutorials out the on
the web, my personal favourite place to search is pinterest. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Our first mission was to identify what the many little bags
contained. Who new jewellery making was so technical?! <o:p></o:p><br />
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I found a fab little tutorial here, which explains how to
make a basic bracelet, along with loads of other fab tutorials. I know what you’re
thinking, you don’t need a tutorial to make a bracelet, just thread the beads
on, well you over achiever it’s actually a lot more involved than one might
think. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I quickly realised I was missing a key tool, pliers! Good old
eBay came to the rescue and I managed to order 2 pairs of pliers, one normal
round nose (like I know what that means!) and a pair of crimp pliers. Both
costing around £3 each.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
So at this point, armed with absolute minimal knowledge, we
were good to go! <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Let the jewellery making commence!<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Obviously the beading part is the easy (and fun) part,
manipulating the fastening into place is a little trickier, but with a little
practise myself and little Bee managed it.<o:p></o:p></div>

<span style="text-align: start;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="text-align: start;">And so our first bracelets were created!</span></div>

Little Bee intends to make more to sell in the little
handcraft shop in our village. <o:p></o:p><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Last week little Bee had a 'head teacher challenge' to produce a piece of work on someone who inspires her, i was extremely touched that she wanted to do it on me, however the teacher said 'no parents!!' (mean!) So little Bee changed it to Cath Kidston, and i was extremely proud when she won first place! Good work little one! I think i have a budding craft entrepreneur in the making!</div>

My next creative adventure was making these sweet little hanging fabric fish! I drew up a template myself, and after some trial and error of getting the twine hanging from them i eventually came up with the best way of doing it, i plan to pop a little tutorial on my blog for that too in the near future.<br />
<br />
I'm selling these little beauties in our local <br />
handmade craft shop, The Hive<br />

<span style="text-align: center;">At the beginning of the week i had a lovely delivery of soap supplies, so i delved straight in and made some Shea butter and rose soaps.</span><br />

Hello Ladies,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CbI9ViGAjO0/VGpJ_TLH73I/AAAAAAAAAsw/-jScw5O14bg/s1600/bath%2Bbomb.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CbI9ViGAjO0/VGpJ_TLH73I/AAAAAAAAAsw/-jScw5O14bg/s1600/bath%2Bbomb.png" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So as i mentioned in <a href="http://cornishrosediaries.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/freecrochetpattern.html">this</a> post my lovely HB brought me the Kirsty Allsopp bath bomb kit. I'm a big fan of Kirsty, so i was over the moon to have a chance to try out one of her kits. She has a lovely range of them which are available to purchase in Hobby Craft, and probably loads of other places! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So i thought i would write up a little review for you all! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The kit comes in a beautiful box, the outer packaging is a sleeve, so once this is removed your left with the lovely floral and polka dot box. Mine has now been upcycled into my embroidery floss box.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Inside you get everything you need to make the bath bombs, including 2 little heart moulds.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hZCNMbEPGVc/VGoPUAMNdpI/AAAAAAAAAsg/TpYfALKJv0c/s1600/bath%2Bbombs.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hZCNMbEPGVc/VGoPUAMNdpI/AAAAAAAAAsg/TpYfALKJv0c/s1600/bath%2Bbombs.jpg" height="484" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The instructions are adequate but are basic, and it took abit of trial and error to perfect my technique! The problem i encountered was the heart bath bombs falling apart when i tried to ease it out of the mould<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ETJCloxF2_0/VGpNdHb-PLI/AAAAAAAAAs8/EMqfiKwjQdY/s1600/bb.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ETJCloxF2_0/VGpNdHb-PLI/AAAAAAAAAs8/EMqfiKwjQdY/s1600/bb.jpg" height="522" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hmm... doesn't look quite like the ones from Lush does it?!<br />
<br />
So here are a couple of tips!<br />
<br />
Fill the moulds high, it makes it easier to compress the bomb and helps prevent getting an 'inverted' back to your heart.<br />
<br />
<br />
Leave the bath bomb in the mould for at least 2 minutes, i found that when i tried to remove straight after pushing firmly on the moulds that they crumbled every time!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cAhfQ-m0PVc/VGpOdnM_f0I/AAAAAAAAAtE/8qlHQN2FEEE/s1600/bb1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cAhfQ-m0PVc/VGpOdnM_f0I/AAAAAAAAAtE/8qlHQN2FEEE/s1600/bb1.jpg" height="528" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Beautiful Rose bath bombs!<br />
<br />
Once you have eased them ever so gentle out of the moulds you need to leave them to fully set, i set mine aside on a plate and left them for about 24 hours.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eKkdlHJ57fA/VHcRFtxdDyI/AAAAAAAAAtg/LYLudA8Zep4/s1600/bb2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eKkdlHJ57fA/VHcRFtxdDyI/AAAAAAAAAtg/LYLudA8Zep4/s1600/bb2.jpg" height="488" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I found the kit provided enough ingredients to make 12 bath bombs. So i set aside a few for myself and the rest i have packaged up as little gifts for friends and family this Christmas.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SQPen6iaEzk/VHcSUxB8l0I/AAAAAAAAAto/tZvN9KQEXl4/s1600/bb3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SQPen6iaEzk/VHcSUxB8l0I/AAAAAAAAAto/tZvN9KQEXl4/s1600/bb3.jpg" height="482" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I used little cellophane bags which i brought on ebay to put two baths bombs in. Tied them with some pretty pink string and added a little rustic clay star and luggage label. Simple but pretty packaging I think!<br />
<br />
And of course i had to immediately sample them in the bath!<br />
<br />
And they were fantastic! I mean seriously lovely! the smell is glorious, my suggestion - run a hot bath with the bathroom door shut, it traps the scent in the room, and when you walk in its blissful.<br />
<br />
Overall i think this little set is great, especially if you have been thinking about delving into the world of bath bomb making, as its an inexpensive way of trying this new craft without a massive financial outlay.<br />
<br />
The packaging makes them a fantastic Christmas gift.<br />
<br />
Ive added a few onto my Christmas wish list! I'm especially hoping jolly old Santa will drop the candle making one down my chimney!<br />
<br />
If any of you have tried any of Kirsty's sets I would love to hear all about your thoughts on them!<br />

As I sit in front of my open fire on a massive bean bag, sipping my glass of red wine and watching lord of the rings, I cant help but smile at how terribly content and happy I feel! <br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been crafting like a crazy woman over the past week, with Christmas fast approaching I seem to have an endless list of makes on my 'to do' list! I have decided that the best idea is to save all the items I intend to gift to friends and family till last and concentrate on orders I have, shop stock and getting ready for the two Christmas craft fairs I am doing! So much to make and so little time! <br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I do solemnly swear that next year I shall start my festive makes in September!! <span style="font-size: xx-small;">(honest i will! wink wink!)</span><br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is a glimpse at some of the things I have been working on this week<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pskOreyf7uA/VF-wAGJ8DJI/AAAAAAAAArA/ZdhA-YIfbq8/s1600/DSCF2709.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pskOreyf7uA/VF-wAGJ8DJI/AAAAAAAAArA/ZdhA-YIfbq8/s1600/DSCF2709.jpg" height="494" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<br />
I have been busy making lots of brooches... hearts, bows and flowers! I think they would look lovely pinned on peoples winter coats!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The flower pattern is from one of my (many) Mollie Makes Magazines<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The heart is made using <a href="http://crochetmakesmehappy.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/crochet-pattern-heart.html" target="_blank">this</a> pattern over at Crochet make me Happy.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And lastly the bow is made using the pattern I posted on <a href="http://cornishrosediaries.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/welcome-to-my-new-blog.html">my first blog post</a>!<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then simply used my good old trusty hot glue gun to stick a brooch clip onto the back of each!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think they look so lovely all bunched together!<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I know the colours aren't exactly 'wintery' shades, but its always nice to brighten things up! Plus I'm just in love with pastel shades!<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have also been making up bags of pine cones, fragrant orange slices, crochet acorns, crochet berries and handmade willow stars! <br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tT7M_fxLvXs/VF-6NqZZQuI/AAAAAAAAArQ/2x7j3Z6FqY4/s1600/pinecones.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tT7M_fxLvXs/VF-6NqZZQuI/AAAAAAAAArQ/2x7j3Z6FqY4/s1600/pinecones.png" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm simply in love with these little bags of goodness! Lots will be going into The Hive shop in Pelynt, Looe, some for the Christmas Craft Fairs, and then I think I may make some as little Christmas gifts for friends and family!<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
And speaking of gifts for the family....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_1c7XLt8sTE/VF_PMrlca-I/AAAAAAAAArg/KptYppWIaIk/s1600/DSCF2794.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_1c7XLt8sTE/VF_PMrlca-I/AAAAAAAAArg/KptYppWIaIk/s1600/DSCF2794.jpg" height="640" width="546" /></a></div>
<br />
My hubby treated me to a delicious Kirsty Allsopp set for making bath bombs. Its glorious. Ive made a batch of them which I'm going to gift out this Christmas. Check out my review on the set!<br />
<br />
Ive also finished off a Christmas blanket, it is a wonderfully soft polar fleece blanket which i have added a red crochet boarder and appliqued on a stag. Lovely for getting cosy on the sofa with on these increasingly chilly evenings!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Eo8upVDgAss/VGjWg-RwHoI/AAAAAAAAArw/SBQoBQQRbDI/s1600/blanket.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Eo8upVDgAss/VGjWg-RwHoI/AAAAAAAAArw/SBQoBQQRbDI/s1600/blanket.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I've also been working on a rabbit pattern, I plan to make lots of these cuddly little fellas for the Christmas Fayre's.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v1_cm9LarqE/VGjYqVUb6NI/AAAAAAAAAr8/0ZDJBlpG7KM/s1600/rabit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v1_cm9LarqE/VGjYqVUb6NI/AAAAAAAAAr8/0ZDJBlpG7KM/s1600/rabit.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sDNZ_NL7N7c/VH4ZSqvIxHI/AAAAAAAAAt4/Tmji4_rl-XM/s1600/bunny.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sDNZ_NL7N7c/VH4ZSqvIxHI/AAAAAAAAAt4/Tmji4_rl-XM/s1600/bunny.jpg" height="640" width="635" /></a></div>
<br />
Hope you all have a craft filled week too!<br />

Hello lovelies, Hope you are all having a relaxing and tranquil weekend. Ours has been a peaceful one mainly spent snuggled in front of the fire with a few new films and lots of crafting! Today I would like to share with you some of my favourite crochet blogs. Now I'm sure you are aware that there is a vast number of crochet/craft blogs out in blogland, and undoubtable some lovely ones that I am yet to discover, so having someone point out a few great ones is always useful, right?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. <a href="http://pinkmilkjewels.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Pink Milk,</a> if you read my last post then you will already know how much I love, love, love this blog. It's my favourite. I love the use of colours, the delicious yarns, the fantastic photography and especially the great crochet patterns and tutorials. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-g64UjIQkoUc/VF548WAgtnI/AAAAAAAAAp8/_Ub6H3fW_zI/s1600/Crochet%2BPatterns.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-g64UjIQkoUc/VF548WAgtnI/AAAAAAAAAp8/_Ub6H3fW_zI/s1600/Crochet%2BPatterns.png" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. <a href="http://annabooshouse.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Annaboo's House</a> is another wonderful crochet blog. Sarah has actually just written her first crochet book for beginners, which will be available to buy in the new year, read all about it over on her blog. She also has a fantastic collection of free crochet patterns/tutorials and some lovely ones to buy from her via her Etsy shop. I have made loads of Sarah's crochet design's and her patterns are always accurate and easy to follow. One of my favourites is this little kitty doorstop I made, which is available for free on her blog. </div>

3. <a href="http://onesheepishgirl.com/category/crochet" target="_blank">One Sheepish Girl</a> is a blog that I have only recently discovered. She has the most amazing crochet and just as amazing photos of it all! I look forward to getting to know her blog better! </div>

4. <a href="http://hopscotchlane.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Hopscotch Lane</a> Check out Becky's beautiful crochet blog, there are some fantastic patterns, although you do have to purchase them, they are well worth the money! I brought the doll pattern awhile back and altered it to a ballerina theme doll, which my little girl adores! </div>

5. <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/crochet/" target="_blank">Attic 24</a> is a wealth of knowledge! You wont believe the amount of free patterns the extremely talented and generous Lucy has written and shared. Just take a look through the list on the left hand side of her blog and pick a pattern to get started on! At the bottom there is a little 'buy me a coffee' donate button, which I have donated to on several occasions, only seems fair considering the amount of freebie patterns I've had from Lucy!</div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Hello and welcome! My name is Lisa, I'm a 30 something who almost 3 years ago uprooted hubby and our three little bumble-bees from our city life to move 200 miles away to the blissful Cornish countryside. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FhP5CImOcNs/VFz1oZx0PTI/AAAAAAAAAnU/smiQWL_dVEc/s1600/PicMonkey%2BCollage.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FhP5CImOcNs/VFz1oZx0PTI/AAAAAAAAAnU/smiQWL_dVEc/s1600/PicMonkey%2BCollage.png" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span id="goog_377232574"></span><span id="goog_377232575"></span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"> In my search for a more peaceful and content life I reconnected with my childhood love of crafts. I just love to craft. I have been known to be somewhat of a fickle character and so no craft is off limits! However I do have a special affinity for crocheting, its a real passion of mine! I've now been crocheting for about 3 years, and along the way I've also picked up a few (and I mean few!) sewing and knitting skills. My main resource for learning new crafts and finding patterns and inspirations has of course been the internet. How I ever lived so many years without pinterest in my life is beyond me! So if you haven't checked out <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/" target="_blank">Pinterest</a> let this be first tip I pass on to you, go on and have a browse, just be prepared to loose hours of your life to it, its highly addictive (not chocolate addictive, but still its up there!) But apart from my best buddy pinterest my other main resource has been blogs. There are some incredible blogs out there, the likes of which I could never dream of competing with, they are a wealth of knowledge, but not only that, when you start to follow a blogger, its like forming a friendship. I truly hope that some of you will at some point view me and my little blog that way, like a good friend. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So the new blog and what you can expect... My little blog is going to be a place where I can share my crafting addiction with you, I hope to share free tutorials I find and hopefully write some of my very own. I'm thinking top 10 lists of free patterns, pay for patterns and craft blogs, Craft magazine review (I'm a devoted buyer of Mollie Makes, Craftseller and just recently Simply Stylish Knitting) and more craftiness than you can shake a stick at.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
I thought I would start things off with a list of some of my favourite free crochet patterns/tutorials, which, with the ever impending seasonal festivities creeping up on us quicker than a small boy with a water bomb, have a suitably Christmassy (is that a word?!My spellcheck seems to think not!) feel to them. <br />
Make them. Gift them. Or just fill your house with them!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Over on the Make and Take blog you can find this <a href="http://www.makeandtakes.com/crochet-bow-tutorial" target="_blank">sweet little bow pattern</a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ucx6WKDvVvk/VFz9VZ7utXI/AAAAAAAAAoQ/tZd73iaAyrc/s1600/IMG_2031withlabelvertical.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ucx6WKDvVvk/VFz9VZ7utXI/AAAAAAAAAoQ/tZd73iaAyrc/s1600/IMG_2031withlabelvertical.jpg" height="400" width="277" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
They are super quick and easy to make, and if your unsure of how to do a Half Double Crochet (HDC) they have a video tutorial to show you. These look fab on clips for the hair and make super cute little stocking fillers. I have short hair so I've made myself a festive red one and fixed it to a little plastic alice band for my hair! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Up next is this glorious <a href="http://engsidrun.spire.ee/blogs/blog1.php/free+patterns:?paged=2" target="_blank">Acorn pattern,</a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This site has loads of crochet patterns on it, so its well worth a look, I've made millions of these little fella's, and they sell like hot cakes! I've made some into a garland and left loads just to be brought as singles, they look fab in a bowl with pinecones. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. <a href="http://www.lululoves.co.uk/item/crochet-mice.html" target="_blank">Lulu Loves Mouse Pattern</a> is another firm favourite for me, my little bee's just love these little mice. How sweet would it be for a little one to find a family of them hidden in their stocking or scattered amoung the presents under the tree! I'm also thinking they would make great presents for cats! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gMlP7UeCuuY/VFz3DZKz6OI/AAAAAAAAAng/pJGkKeV8beU/s1600/522040_10152911132551383_3339944901424829659_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gMlP7UeCuuY/VFz3DZKz6OI/AAAAAAAAAng/pJGkKeV8beU/s1600/522040_10152911132551383_3339944901424829659_n.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4. Now who doesn't love bunting right? Over at my all time favourite blog <a href="http://pinkmilkjewels.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">Pink Milk</a> there is a great <a href="http://pinkmilkjewels.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/simple-crochet-bunting-tutorial.html" target="_blank">crochet bunting tutorial</a>, which is easy to follow, its actually one of the very first tutorials I ever attempted. Heather's use of colour on her blog is a delight and she takes some seriously scrummy photos. All round I am just a lover of Pink Milk! I'm thinking the bunting could be made in shades of red, green and white for a Christmas feel. If your feeling adventurous you could even applique onto them.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BhTc7JwGJXM/VFz8V6oYvXI/AAAAAAAAAoA/DVSDFv2FaDU/s1600/Pattern%2B-%2BBunting.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BhTc7JwGJXM/VFz8V6oYvXI/AAAAAAAAAoA/DVSDFv2FaDU/s1600/Pattern%2B-%2BBunting.png" height="297" width="400" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There are lots of other fab patterns and tutorials, so go check her out, after you finish reading mine of course!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
5. And lastly I thought I would finish off with a combination of 2 of my favourite things, cushions and hearts! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8cwjDzVgooA/VFz8xxSAJPI/AAAAAAAAAoI/x4JeINzVgN8/s1600/280356.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8cwjDzVgooA/VFz8xxSAJPI/AAAAAAAAAoI/x4JeINzVgN8/s1600/280356.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<a href="http://www.monmakesthings.com/2014/02/crochet-heart-pillow-pattern-tutorial.html" target="_blank">This tutorial</a> for a heart cushion at Mon Makes is easy to follow with lots of photos taking you through each stage. I have made a pretty pink one to go in my little doggies basket. But again you could easily change the heart to a festive red for your Christmas Living room or bedroom!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well that's it, the end of my first blog post! Eek! I hope you have enjoyed spending some time with me and I haven't rattled on too much! I would love to hear from you, so please leave me a comment! Now go forth and create!<br />
